What a signal strength means

Every change at a care provider is a signal: a home opening, a new registered manager, beds added, a change of owner, a planning application and so on.

Signal strength

Your edition gives each kind of change a signal strength from 1 to 10, for what you sell. At 8 or more a change appears under Since you last signed in and in the daily priority alert. At 9 or 10 it carries the ACT label. A business’s row on the Deal Desk shows its strongest recent change first.

The Opportunity index

The Ranked tab orders businesses by their Opportunity index, a number out of 100. It summarises a business’s recent change signals, weighted for your edition, so you can compare businesses at a glance.

Beside it, Top 10% in your territory (or Top 25%, Middle, Lower) compares the business with the others in your territory under the same edition. Narrowing the Deal Desk with a filter does not change the band.

The index is a ranking, not a prediction. It says which businesses have had the most relevant change lately, not which will buy.
