Where each signal comes from

• CQC, adult social care in England: homes and services registered and closed, beds, service types, ratings, registered managers and nominated individuals.
• Ofsted, children’s homes: the business that owns each home and whether a manager is registered. Ofsted withholds each home’s name and address, so we show neither.
• Companies House: profiles, filings, directors, people with significant control and charges, including the insolvency filings that are also notices in The Gazette.
• The Charity Commission: charities’ income, spending and trustees.
• Council planning portals, through PlanWire: planning applications for care homes.
